Revlon One-Step Hair Dryer:

Friends!  I have TWO WORDS to say about the Revlon One-Step Hair DryerIT WORKS.  I knew immediately when I dried the first section of my hair that this product was life-changing. If you’ve been following my hair journey on Instagram, you’ll know that I’ve finally grown out my hair and as it stands right now, it is actually very long for me!  I still have about two to four months to go to get it to the exact style I want, and in the meantime, I’ve been struggling with how to manage and style it.

My hair is naturally thick and wavy, which is a disaster in the Florida humidity.  That’s one of the reasons why I’ve always worn it short.  If the hair isn’t there, there is nothing to style and manage, right? 🙂 It was always so easy!

A short and dramatic cut was perfect when I worked as a runway model. However, now that I’ve ventured into the world of lifestyle modeling, I have found that I need to tame down my attitude just a bit.  I work in the Miami market, and most of the jobs are for pharmaceutical companies, cruise lines, and hospitals.  Let’s just say the market isn’t the high-fashion capitol of the world.  (If I lived in the northeast, I would definitely still rock a pixie cut, but I need to blend so I can work in the market where I live.  And my hair is still considered “short”!)

All of that background info brings me to the purpose of today’s post.  With my longer hair came a ton of frustration.  I’m not used to using products and I don’t have any styling talents.

When I tell you it is amazing, believe me.  It’s amazing.  It dries, straightens, and lifts your hair all with one brush stroke.  I styled my entire hair in under five minutes.  UNDER FIVE MINUTES. And the result is straight hair with NO FRIZZ.  None!

Styling Products are a Must

The hair dryer gets very hot.  I don’t think it gets any hotter than any other blow dryer or curling iron, but when you consider the fact that the powerful heat is blowing and straightening your hair at the same time, directly on the hair, you will definitely need to use styling products to protect your hair from the heat of the dryer.

My Process

First, I vigorously towel dry my hair.

Next, I use my regular blow dryer to get rid of a majority of the dampness.

Third, I apply Rusk’s Get Str8 leave-in conditioner to my entire hair from roots to ends.

Finally, before using the Revlon One-Step Hair Dryer, I apply Redken High Rise Volume Duo Volumizer only to the roots of my hair.

After I’m finished drying, instead of hair spray, I use Redken’s Wax Blast to lift, separate, and style individual pieces of hair.  This product adds the final styling touch.

And that’s it!  For an investment of under $100, you can have a salon in your own home.  WIn!

I searched for the lowest prices on all of the products I used, and I linked them all in my Amazon Store. (And FREE SHIPPING with Amazon Prime!) Treat yourself!!  One small investment will save you so many trips to the salon for a blow-out. You’re worth it!!
