This One Is the Best

I have worn a lot of different brands of mascara in my day, and this one from Clinique called “Clinique High Definition Lashes” is by far the best. I haven’t worn mascara on a daily basis since my modeling days. I stumbled upon this one by accident when I received it in a gift-with-purchase at Macy’s.
LESSON: I guess that’s life. Good things happen when we aren’t even looking for them.

Sorry, But I Just Had to Have It!

I know there are so many other things I could have done with ten bucks, like maybe put a drop of gas in my car, but I just had to buy Michael Jackson’s Thriller cd. Why? I don’t know.

LESSON WE CAN ALL LEARN: Quit while you’re ahead.

Christmas Creativity

I am happy to say that I have whittled down our indoor Christmas decorations to include only two themes: American Girl dolls and snow globes. We love dressing all the dolls in their Christmas outfits, doing their hair, and setting them out. Last year I made each doll her own personalized Christmas stocking. (We have several dolls, but one can never have enough! Using them as Christmas decorations makes having them so much more practical!)

I started collecting New York City themed snow globes after September 11th. They bring back so many great memories of trekking around the city with Sharon, Jeddy-pooh, Neil, and my girls. Most of the globes have the twin towers included in the skyline. (Neil is in New York as I am writing this. I told him to PLEASE bring me home a bag of nuts!)

I also made this fun advent calendar for our garage door. Click on the picture for a larger view.

I would love to mass-produce this and sell them. I think they would be a hit, don’t you? Hey! I’ll start now! If you would like one just send me an email and I’ll make you one!

Old Friends: The Sussex Circle Girlfriend Club!

Beck-Beck, Dawn, Me, Leslie, Lori

After months of not “sitting-out,” we finally found an afternoon of togetherness! I love my sista’s in ‘da hood!

Two Old Friends: The Birds are Back!
Mommy and Daddy bird were spotted again scoping out the situation and probably preparing for more babies!

One New Friend: A New Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator?
Whenever I do major card projects I like to spread everything out on the floor and then I lay down on my side and have at it. While I was busy making stuff for the craft show, I looked out the window and saw this little lizard peeking in watching me work. I thought it was the cutest thing! (Notice in the first picture how her eye is looking down…she was literally watching me!!)

How I Spent November

I prepared lots of cards and other handmade Stampin’ Up! goodies for participation in my very first craft show. (I have done craft shows before, when I used to make doll clothes, but this was my first with my cards and stuff.) The show was a fund-raiser for Independence Middle School, where I am a business partner. It was very successful!
