Clothes That I’ve Ordered Online and I LOVE!

During Covid, I came across a dress on Pinterest that I absolutely loved.  It was from a website called BooHoo.com.  I had never ordered anything from a website that I never heard of, but the dress was only $16, so I gave it a shot.  Fast forward to say that I now have an entire wardrobe of clothes that I ordered online and I love!  The links are at the bottom of the post!!

NOTE:  I always order one size up.

Draper’s and Damon’s Collab and a Gucci Story

Draper’s and Damon’s Collab and a Gucci Story

I’ve been buy over on Instagram and TikTok producing UGC (user-generated content.)  I’ve been having a blast!  I recently did a collaboration with Draper’s and Damon’s.  Here are some pics:

drapers and damons collaboration spring 2022, fashion meets fifty, charlene harreveld ugc

The gathering place at my daughter’s apartment building was the perfect setting for these pics.  The collaboration was to introduce their spring 2022 line and celebrate their 95th anniversary.  Imagine being in business for 95 years!

I’ve also been busy on TikTok trying to manage a sequence of viral videos.  It all started last summer when I attempted to enter the new Gucci store in our mall and the lady at the door looked me up and down and told me I couldn’t enter.  Who knew that one spontaneous little fifteen second video would lead to several other videos that combined have garnered almost TEN MILLION views?  If you’re on TikTok, the story begins with this video.  And to think I almost deleted it after I posted it.  I’m so glad I didn’t delete it, because the storyline lead to some interesting discussions about how different people are treated when shopping (or attempting to shop) in luxury stores.

Have you had a similar experience to my Gucci experience?  I’d love to know!  (And if you’re not on TikTok, you’re missing out!  It’s fabulous!)

Black Booties for Fall and Winter

Comments Off on Black Booties for Fall and Winter

I found the perfect black booties for fall and winter!  I wasn’t even looing for a new pair of black booties, but they found me.  The pair I’m wearing are from H and M in Italy.  I found similar styles for you at different price points to make shopping for your new black booties a breeze!

I also found some similar black dresses.  I found my dress in Italy, again while I wasn’t even looking.  I saw it in the window on a mannequin and I knew immediately that I needed it.  I think the boots make the perfect silhouette, don’t you?!?

Take a look at my outfit and then take a look at the similar items that I found for you.  Happy shopping for your fall black booties!

These photos were taken at Masseria Zambardo in Italy. I highly recommend this quaint hotel. The accommodations and staff were fabulous!

Check out the items I selected for you that are similar to my outfit. Click each photo for more details about each item.  Happy shopping!

Why I Love TikTok and You Will, Too

Why I Love TikTok and You Will, Too

Okay, guys.  I avoided it for a really long time.  But then I caved.  I joined TikTok.  I’ve enjoyed listening to so many stories shared by people from all walks of life. There are so many fascinating people in the world.  I’ve made some new friends and my eyes have been opened to so many different lifestyles:  farmers who share their daily chores, former inmates who describe prison life, people who live in their cars and vans and buses … it goes on and on and on.

When I first joined TikTok, I thought it might be a great way to help brand my greeting card company.  Then I thought it would be a fun addition to my fashion Instagram page.  However, I’ve learned that the post that receive the most views and the most interaction are my story posts.  The post I made about Neil’s cancer diagnosis is the most viewed post I’ve ever received on any social media channel ever, and it only took a few days to reach a lot of people.

I have so many stories that I want to share, but it sounds a lot easier than it looks.  I’m not too sure what to talk about next.  But I do know that I have a lot to say.

Join me!  You can follow me on TikTok HERE.
