25 Bits of Useless Information
1) My very first job was as a farm laborer. I used to work on a gladiola farm on an assembly line when I was 15 years old. I would be on my feet all day and as the gladiolas would come down the line I would bunch them in groups of twelve. To this day I HATE gladiolas.
2) I came down with mono during my first semester of college at Brigham Young University. I didn’t know I had it until I went home for Christmas break. I was sick for an entire year. At the end of that year I met Neil. Needless to say, I never went back to BYU (I didn’t like it) and I ended up graduating from FAU.
3) Neil and I were neighbors in Jupiter. That is how we met.
4) It took major surgery and six years of trying to finally get Adrienne to this earth!!!! 🙂 It took some fancy footwork to get Erica here, too. (Before I became pregnant with Adrienne we were in the process of adopting through LDS Social Services.)
5) Very soon I am going to be making the fourth biggest announcement of my entire life!
6) I absolutely love classic movies. There are too many to name.
7) I don’t like feeling lonely, but I really love to be alone.
8) We have dinner every Sunday with my mom, dad, and brother. EVERY Sunday.
9) I hate exercising. I think it’s because I have low blood pressure. I can’t stand up for very long. It’s weird. If I am in a situation where I have been standing too long, I will subconsciously assume a flamingo stance. It’s kind of funny.
10) Before I die I want to spin around on a mountain top in Austria like Julie Andrews.
11) While I worked as a model I met several celebrities. Here are the ones I can remember: Bert Parks, Arnold Swarzenneger (sp?) and Maria Shriver, Julia Child, Phyllis Diller, Alan King, Catherine Oxenberg, Burt Reynolds, Loni Anderson, Robert Duvall, Oscar de la Renta, Paloma Picasso, Adolfo, Lily Pulitzer, Valentino, Carly Simon, Marvin Hamlisch (sp?), Niki Taylor, and others I can’t remember right now.
12) I had cosmetic surgery on my ears to make them smaller and not stick out. They used to stick out like Dumbo.
13) I hate to travel, but I love going to NYC. The first time I was in Manhattan I had the strangest feeling that I had finally come home.
14) I almost have the script to The Godfather memorized.
15) I hate when people say “anyways” instead of “anyway.”
16) When I worked as a model I used to have to cart a very large tote bag around with me. Not only did I own and carry around shoes in every color known to man, I had them in pumps and in flats. I also had several pairs of pantyhose in every color, a scarf to put over my head so that when I changed outfits I wouldn’t get makeup on the clothes, a strapless bra, and camisoles. This was before rolling suitcases were easy to come by.
17) I had to carry another bag that had all of my makeup, including several shades of lipstick, my day timer book, my pictures, etc. People always wonder why models are so skinny…let me just tell you that it is A LOT of hard, physical work. It was fun at the time, but I could never do it again.
18) I have been known to call 911 when I see parents abusing their children in public places. I don’t mean disciplining their children, I mean pushing them down and kicking them.
19) I love Wendy’s twisted Frosty’s. Chocolate with oreos. And McDonald’s hot fudge sundaes with nuts.
20) I am a germ-a-phobe. I don’t shake hands anymore. I bump fists. The poor missionaries!
21) I am addicted to the Real Housewives shows on Bravo, and Intervention and The Sopranos on AandE.
22) I still keep in touch with my teachers from third, sixth, and eighth grades.
23) I am terrified of heights. Escalators freak me out, especially the “down” ones.
24) When I eat at Chic-fil-A I dunk my waffle fries into my ice cream.
25) I love to put peanut butter on my waffles and pancakes.
