Thanksgiving Turkey Fruit Salad
I think one of the reasons I don’t enjoy cooking is because it isn’t the right outlet for my creativity. I don’t like the idea of planning and prepping and cooking only to have the creation eaten and gone. It doesn’t do anything for me.
When I was asked to bring the fruit salad to Thanksgiving a few years ago, I broke out in hives. Not only do I not cook, I also don’t cut fruit. What a waste of time! (Maybe another reason I don’t enjoy cooking and cutting fruit is because of my inability to stand for more than 30 seconds without feeling like I’m going to pass out.)
I did a few searches on Pinterest and came up with a Thanksgiving turkey fruit salad.
What you’ll need:
- 1 whole watermelon, cut in half (remove inside and cut into chunks for the skewers)
- 1 pear for the nose/waddle
- 2 googly eyes and a brown piece of paper cut into a triangle for the nose
- various fruit cut into chunks
- skewers
What to do:
Just put the chunks onto the skewers and stick the skewers into the watermelon as pictured above.
It’s a way to cook and be creative at the same time!
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!
