So my kids woke up a couple of weeks ago and decided that absolutely everything I do, say, think and wear embarrasses them.
I guess I’m doing everything right.

Uncle Johnny was honored Friday night by the National Italian American Foundation for his philanthropy work. We were excited to be able to attend an event for him as a family to show our support. Aunt Rosie, Uncle John, Maryanne, Tony, Sheree, Adam, Danielle and Pete flew down from NJ. A great time was had by all! (I took the majority of pix during the cocktail hour. I need pix of Sheree, Adam, Danielle, Pete, Jana, etc. If any of you have any, email them to me and I will add them to the slide show!)
The celebration continued Saturday night at my mom and dad’s house with more family, fun, and of course with more…food!
The stars aligned again today. I was stuck at home all day waiting for our new dryer to be delivered. I was kind of glad because I was able to sort of lay around and allow my back to heal. I also cleaned off my desk. The best part was that TCM had a Doris Day movie marathon to celebrate her birthday. I never realized until today that I am a big Doris Day fan. I saw “Lover Come Back” (which I have never seen before) with Doris, Rock Hudson and Tony Randall. Next was “The Man Who Knew Too Much.” Alfred Hitchcock, Jimmy Stewart, and Doris all in one “day,” and on a day when I really had nothing to do! In my world, it doesn’t get much better than that!
My jelly doughnut post was my 100th and my visitor count is quickly approaching 1,000. I love numbers like that. It must be my OCD.
