The freshman class ranks are out and for the first semester of high school someone we know who lives in our house and is a freshman is ranked number two out of something like 327 kids. But don’t say anything, please, pretty please, keep it a secret, we don’t want anyone to know… : )
Two Projects Down, Eight More to Go!
I was able to create the two 3-D projects I need to submit for the Artisan Award (see post below.) Now I have to work on the three scrapbook pages and the five cards. The cards will be the most difficult. Sometimes it takes me an entire day to create one card. I am pretty happy with how my 3-D projects turned out. I will post pix when I have everything finished. Deadline: March 31st.
Yipee! My Blog Has Traveled Farther Than I Have!
Look at my map! I had an overseas visitor! (It looks like France, so thanks, cousin Mark!)
Artisan Award Challenge Accepted
I have decided to enter Stampin’ Up!’s Artisan Award contest. I have to create five cards, three scrapbook pages, and two three-dimensional projects. I am making this my own private Project Runway challenge. They will choose ten winners and each winner will receive a $500 cash award plus $5oo in Stampin’ Up! merchandise. Is it a good sign that I don’t even care about the prize? I am just beyond thrilled to accept the challenge to create!!!! Creating for a purpose is just icing on the cake!!!!
Bright Idea
As if they don’t stress out our kids enough by shoving FCAT, FCAT, FCAT down their throats, let’s schedule the test two days after the time change when they have all lost one hour of the precious sleep they need to recover from all the homework they throw at them. I actually heard on the news last night that FCAT was scheduled on Tuesday this year instead of on Monday because of the time change. Ha! I guess in their infinite wisdom they forgot that some people go to church on Sunday morning and don’t sleep the day away to recover from the lost hour. And here I was giving them the benefit of the doubt thinking that maybe they didn’t realize it was “change the clock” time when they scheduled the test dates. And then they wonder why…
