H&M Black Floral Print

You guys, I am so obsessed with this black floral print from H&M right now!  What is happening to me? I never, ever, ever would have worn or even looked at a floral print.  However, this floral print has me gobsmacked. (I’ve never used that word before! Not even to describe my experiences with this guy.)

If you follow me on Instagram, you’ll see how obsessed I am because I’ve posted half-a-dozen pics of myself wearing it, probably breaking all of the Instagram rules of etiquette. 🙂

Today is your lucky day, because not only did I find the link so you can purchase the blouse I’m wearing, but I also found the print in a nursing blouse (what!?) a maternity dress, and plus-size pants.  Woo hoo!

Fashion Fantasy Finds

Today I’m posting some of my favorite fantasy finds.  If I had a place to go, these are things I would  buy.  When you click on each item, you’ll see why this post is titled “Fashion Fantasy Finds,” but some clicks might show you a similar item that is available at a fraction of the price.  It IS possible to turn your fashion fantasy into reality!  Right?  (FYI…I’m trying out something new…when you click a picture, it should show you similar items.  Not sure if it’s working yet. Can you let me know in the comments? Thanks!)

I would wear these Saint Laurent Logo Espadrille in black from Yves Saint Laurent every single day of my life!

This Carolina Herrera Draped V-Back Gown in  navy ticks all of my boxes for what I love in a black-tie gown.  The neckline and the sleeve length are amazing.

Oh, my!  Everyone needs this Michael Kors Belted Silk Jumpsuit! It’s perfect for lunch dates and can easily go from day to night.

You can’t go wrong with this Saint Laurent ‘Small Sac de Jour’ Leather Tote!

Finally, this Medium Hammock Bicolor Leather Hobo Bag by Loewe is beyond!!  It’s available in several colors, too.

What are your fashion fantasy finds?

What to Wear to a Summer Wedding: Part 2

Since you loved my first installment of “What to Wear to a Summer Wedding,” today I’m bringing you Part 2!  Today’s selections are dressier and appropriate for weddings that are black-tie or evening or black-tie optional.  (Hint:  if a wedding is “black-tie optional,” take the option and go black-tie!!! Who doesn’t want the chance to be Cinderella for the night, right?)

It seems like NAVY is big this season, but most of these dresses are also available in other colors.  Take a look! I love the pant suit, too!!

What to Wear to Summer Weddings 2018

I’ve got you covered, friends!  Below are just a few of the dresses I found for you to wear during the upcoming wedding season.  I’ve included all price points, styles, plus sizes, and petite options.  Be sure to click on each picture because several dresses are available in several different colors.

My Favorites:

The detail and color of this gown are gorgeous.  Wear it with a big rhinestone drop earring or a big pearl earring.  No necklace necessary!!  Let the dress speak for itself.

I mean, what is there to say about this dress???  Wear it with a big drop black earring and no necklace OR a small earring and a black choker.

I have NO WORDS for this dress!  It will take you from afternoon to evening. I’d wear it with a bold shoe, perhaps a navy sparkle or navy platform, or navy patent leather.  If not, go for a bold nude pump.

We don’t have any weddings to attend this year, but our daughter Adrienne has NINE weddings!  I’m glad she takes after me and shops all the time instead of shopping for a specific occasion.  That’s really the answer to all of your fashion problems.  Did you know that?  Shop all the time!  Don’t WAIT to let the occasion come upon you.  If you do that, you will drive yourself crazy trying to find the perfect outfit. If you shop all the time, when you find something you like, buy it.  The occasion will present itself and you’ll be ready!!  I promise you, it works!

Notice I didn’t say to BUY all the time, I said to SHOP all the time.  You’ll stumble upon things you weren’t specifically looking for and then find things that you can buy here and there.  Eventually, you’ll have a wardrobe full of items that you’ll be able to turn for any occasion.  Promise!

Fashion Meets Fifty Friends Facebook Group

You guys! I honestly have no idea how people started and grew businesses before social media.  They truly were ingenious.  Social media changes so much these days that it is nearly impossible to grow a following and to keep it before a new app comes along.  I begged and begged for people to follow my Fashion Meets Fifty Facebook PAGE, and then Facebook changed everything and is basically forcing us to create Facebook GROUPS instead of PAGES.

Recently, Facebook changed its algorithm and decided not to show PAGES any longer.  Maybe that’s a good thing.  I’ve created a new Facebook GROUP, “Fashion Meets Fifty Friends,” which I think we are all going to like much better.

Hop on over to the Fashion Meets Fifty Friends Facebook Group and request to join.  It’s a place where you can ask me AND each other for fashion and beauty advice and a place where you can share your finds, too.  It’s a closed group,  which means anyone can request to join, but only members in the group can see what is posted.

I like that we can now all be a part of a community discussion board!  Sometimes social media changes are a good thing.  For now…

Here is some inspiration for today.  I went out of my comfort zone and paired a navy blouse with a peach skirt.  I like living on the wild side.

Also, my hair hasn’t been this long in over twenty years.
