If you have a pulse, you know that blogging has been phased out and replaced with Instagram. I’ve been busy over there documenting the things in our lives that I think are kind of fun and important. My IG account is private, so I’ll let you in on a few things that have been keeping me busy.
1) Check out my new Stamping with Charlene site. This is the place where I document all things Stampin’ Up!, like new projects, products, classes, special promotions, and stuff like that. The reason for this new site was because I decided to enter to be a part of Stampin’ Up!’s 2016 Artisan Design Team. I wasn’t selected, but let me just say that I really am a winner. Why? Because I decided to use WordPress as the platform for that site and as a result, I feel like I earned an honorary doctorate degree in WordPress. I created the site entirely on my own and I learned a TON of stuff in the process.
2) As a result of creating the new Stamping with Charlene site, I decided to do a complete overhaul of eWillow.com Greeting Cards. A couple of years ago, eWillow.com transformed from an open marketplace where greeting card designers could sell their creations into a site where I solely design the products and offer greeting cards on a subscription-box basis. I loved the fact that with WordPress I could have 100% control of the content without having to totally depend on a tech person. I started this project in July, and in the next couple of weeks the new site will go live. Even though I still need to turn to my tech guy for tweaks, I am much calmer knowing that I can pretty much manage the site on my own if I need to. (I like being self-reliant.) My tech guy is FABULOUS, so if you are in need of someone to help you, shoot me an email and I will give you his contact info.
3) Take a look at Cosmetics for a Cause. About a month ago, we were blessed with over $1M in products from e.l.f. Cosmetics. Since Erica is away at school, I have embraced the chance to make sure that each piece of makeup goes to a woman in need. Thanks to the teens in our neighborhood and some other great friends, we have been able to accomplish this goal.
4) I still sub every now and then because I just can’t seem to give up my Plan B. Sometimes I wonder if Plan A would be even more successful if I let go of Plan B. I don’t know. What do you think? Do you have a Plan B? Help!
