NABLOPOMO

National Blog Posting Month, or NABLOPOMO as it is more commonly known to bloggers, is over halfway done.

I have to admit that I’m pretty proud of myself for taking the NABLOPOMO pledge to blog every day during the month of November and for sticking to that pledge.

It’s been easier than I thought.  Maybe that’s because I’ve had so many blog posts composed in my head for a really long time.  I needed an official assignment to finally get the job done.

In addition to blogging every day, I’ve also been making cards upon cards upon cards.  I have one client who asks for the best of the best cards every year and I absolutely LOVE the challenge to come up with different ideas.  It’s what drives me.

I’ve also been busy stocking up on cards to fill eWillow.com orders.  It always seems like I run out of cards and end up in a total panic the week before Christmas.  I want to make sure that I always ship the perfect cards with all of the orders – no bends, nothing crooked, no mishaps of any kind.  Of course that puts a lot of pressure on me, but I don’t expect anything less of myself than to deliver the very best to my customers.

Here is one funny thing that goes on behind-the-scenes in the blogging world.  As I type my blog posts, there is a little thing on the sidebar that shows me if I’m writing my posts correctly.  There are two little checkmarks that change from red to orange to green and back again based on reading, writing, and search engine optimization.  Talk about stress! I’m being graded by a mysterious force with every word I type.  Right now it’s on orange, which means some of my sentences are too long, I haven’t added any pictures yet, and this paragraph has nothing to do with the title of this blog entry.

But darn it, it’s NABLOPOMO and I made a commitment to blog every day! So far, I’ve kept my promise.  So go away little check marks. Even though you’re red, which means this post is a failure when it comes to blogging rules, I’m giving myself an A.

If you have any topics you’d like me to blog about, leave a comment.  I’m open to ideas and I work better under the pressure of having an assignment.
