I still remember this April Fool’s joke from my AP Biology class twenty-five years ago! It was the best ever! Every Friday we used to have doughnuts in class. We could all drive so we would all pile into someone’s car (there were only seven of us in the class,) leave campus, get the goods, and return to class. April Fool’s Day happened to fall on a Friday that year. We carefully removed the jelly from one of the jelly-filled doughnuts and replaced the jelly with yellow mustard. We then put some of the jelly back on the hole to make it look like the jelly was oozing out. That day we nicely handed our teacher his doughnut instead of letting him select his own. It was so funny to see his reaction when he bit into it! Luckily for us he liked us very much and laughed hysterically!!! He was such a wonderful teacher! I don’t remember much about biology, but I do remember all of the lectures he would give us about life. It was easy to get him off topic and just chit-chat for two hours. I wish I could somehow get in touch with him and thank him for those classes when he (and we, at the time) thought we had gotten away with “just goofing off and talking.” In reality, he taught us more on those days than on any other.
FYI: I got the picture of the jelly doughnuts from Google images. These particular doughnuts are from a website called holeydonuts.net and they are $23.95 a dozen. You could probably just use of these doughnuts for your prank and not have to remove the jelly…at that price I think they are filled with gold. 🙂
