Smooth Sailing…

No damage from Fay, no major problems with the new school year, the house is clean, life is good.

Oh, wait, I forgot about the three-foot-high pile of laundry on our bathroom floor. There really is no end, is there?

The bright side…my Stampin’ Up! order arrived today!!!!!! So yes, life is PERFECT!

Happy Birthday, Al

I have so many vacation pictures to post but I just don’t feel like it! Blogging is supposed to be fun and when it starts to feel like a chore, well…

So here are some no-picture-needed things that have been happening:
1) My camera broke at the Stampin’ Up convention. So now that I need a new camera I want to hold out and get a really nice one. I want the pictures of my projects for my Stampin Up! website and my stampin blog to be really high quality.
2) I must really be getting old because whew, hot flashes, hot flashes, hot flashes!!!
3) Hey, here’s something exciting…when I woke up this morning Adrienne informed me that today is Alfred Hitchcock’s birthday. I am a HUGE Alfred fan. (Oh no! I bet I missed a day of back-to-back Hitchcock movies today! I have been so busy preparing for my card class for Friday that I didn’t have time to turn the tv on today. Phooey!!)

And the Emmy Goes to…

I had a blast spending a day and a night at Shari and Andy’s new place in Provo. Andy was in Boston so Shari and I had a fun afternoon at the Temple.
We also had a refreshing dip in the pool. It was so funny to look up from my lounge chair by the pool and see a Christmas tree with pine cones. It should have been a palm tree.
Later that evening, Shari’s Emmy award caught my eye. (Yes, it is real!!!) I had fun pretending. (My leg automatically falls into this position when I pose for a picture. I think it is instinctive from my former life as a model. Silly, huh?)

From the Mountains, to the Prairies, to the Oceans White with Foam…

…Dorothy said it best when she said “there’s no place like home.” After being away for three weeks it certainly is wonderful to be back home again. I think I have finally caught up on my sleep. I have lots of pictures to post and lots of stories to tell.

After our stay in NJ, Adrienne and I headed out to Utah. She attended EFY and I attended the Stampin’ Up! convention. (Hence the mountains) Erica stayed in NJ and Neil came home.

On our way home from Utah we planned a three hour layover in Houston so that we could visit with Sharon and Jed. (Hence the prairies)

And now we are back home. (To the oceans white with foam. I guess I could say we had oceans white with foam while we were in NJ, but in NJ the foam on the ocean is brown.)

More posts and pictures soon…
