I'm sure I must have tasted it somewhere along the way, but I honestly only remember eating it for the first time a few weeks ago. I certainly never knew what it looked like unpeeled until a couple of days ago, when I saw a big container marked "kiwi" in Costco. I think because I was raised in the northeast, I was only exposed to typical fruit like oranges, bananas, strawberries, blueberries…nothing exotic like kiwi. And as someone who doesn't embrace change very well, trying a new fruit was a big deal to me!
