This
moment …
Michael Jackson’s daughter Paris spoke to finish the memorial service for her father.
Standing on stage and choking back tears, Paris said that since the day she was born, her dad was great.
“I just want to say, ever since I was born, Daddy has been the best father you could ever imagine. I just want to say I love him so much.”
She then burst into tears and went into a bear hug with her aunt Janet.
After eleven years of veiling her face in public, now there is a video clip of her at her most vulnerable moment to be played and re-played.

Yummy Kitchen Wall Decor

It’s been more than a year since we had the inside of our house freshly painted.  One of the walls in our kitchen has remained bare while I have searched and searched for the most perfect thing to hang.  I finally found the perfect thing!  I purchased blank white canvases and painted them with acrylic paint a couple of shades lighter than the color of the wall.  After the canvases dried, I applied Stampin’ Up!’s® Definitely Decorative® “Eat” Décor Elements™ in chocolate.  I think it was worth the wait!  I realized that these wonderful vinyl accessories are very fun and easy to use.

Say, Say, Say What You Want…

…but not in this case.

Here is my opinion on the situation, not that you care, and not that you even asked, but I’m sure this will soon be a topic of conversation…

I’m sure we will soon be hearing, “People are dying in Iraq, and all we can talk about is Michael Jackson.”

I was wondering if I would have to tune in to MTV to watch the coverage of his funeral. I was a little surprised when I saw an ad on abcnews.com that they will be covering the event. I’m happy about that!

Yes, there are more important, pressing issues in the world. However, I think we do need to pay tribute to a man (eccentric as he may have been) who made such a huge impression on popular culture. We are not a mono-culture; we are a multi-culture. Our lives are multi-faceted. We have days set aside to pay homage to those who have died in defense of our country, days set aside to pay homage to our loved ones, and days set aside to give thanks. I want a day set aside (just one day!!! not a national holiday!!) to pay homage to someone who taught me how to move and groove. So there!

As A Die-Hard Wearer of Lipstick…

I always have to decide
…should I or shouldn’t I?????
Is it worth it??? Do I dare put up with getting all of the kernels stuck in my teeth and getting lipstick all over myself??? Or should I keep denying myself again and again????
Should I participate in the lovely summer tradition of biting into a delectable piece of
corn-on-the-cob
smothered in salt and butter???
The answer today was
YES…

just go for it!!!!
How could I say no?

(gotta love finding matching corn dishes on clearance at Target!!!)
