Rebecca? Who’s Rebecca?

I am certifiably losing my mind! I was looking at my calendar to see what the week ahead has in store, and on Saturday October 11th I have written “Rebecca 561-***-####.”
Okay, my first question is “Who is Rebecca?” My second question is “Why do I have her name and phone number written in my day planner on October 11th?” I tired to do a reverse phone number look-up, but the number I have is a cell number. Well, tomorrow I am going to call her and ask her who she is and why on earth I have her name and number in my book. When you are in your forties, you can do stuff like that and not care what the person on the other end of the phone thinks about you. I’ll keep you “post”ed on the outcome.

OCD Alert!

Yesterday Nancy and I did a craft show at St. Mary’s to raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. On my way there I stopped off at McDonald’s for some delicious, nutritious food. I was soooo excited to see the current Happy Meal toys! I am a HUGE Wizard of Oz fan!! I am such a big fan that I am probably the only person on the planet who doesn’t like the story WICKED. How could anyone mess with such a wonderful story? I love the Broadway show, I just don’t buy the story.
Anyway, I just had to have EVERY SINGLE ONE of these toys! Guess what? I got them all! And I only had to go to 3 different McDonald’s! No, I didn’t have to buy a Happy Meal to get each toy…did you know that you can just buy the toy? They range in price from $1 to $1.50 each.
Now, here is my dilemma…While I was Googling to find a photo to put with this post, I was led to eBay. Even though these are current toys that are plentifully available, they are already selling on eBay for two times more than what I paid for them!
So, leave me a comment and let me know what your opinion is on what I should do with them. Here are the choices:
1) Sell them on eBay
2) Leave them in the packages and don’t sell them yet, but sell them one day
3) Open them up and have at it! Play, play, play!!!!
My personal choice is #3. What’s yours? (C’mon! Look at those flying monkeys and the lollipop kid!)
(BTW… I also have the entire Wizard of Oz Barbie collection along with the Kelly doll Munchkins. I also have the Polly Pocket version of the Emerald City. Yes, I love T.W.O.O!)

Paul Newman has always been my absolute favorite. Ask Jed and Sharon…I have a secret about him that I revealed while we were playing the hysterically funny and very fun game “Time’s Up.” I was so sad to hear that he died.

I have mentioned several times on my blog how much I love old movies. Paul Newman is in a couple of my favorites, two of them with his wife Joanne Woodward. My favorite is “From the Terrace.” I also love “The Long, Hot Summer” and “The Verdict.” Rent them. There is nothing like a good old movie.
