A Really Tiny Gift Bag

Imagine the great gift that you can give (or receive!) in this small package.  It’s too small for a gift card, but a diamond ring would fit nicely inside, thank-you-very-much!  You can download the template HERE.

I added a HUGE brad to the front, but you can add a flower or button.  Any type of embellishment would add a nice accent.  Instead of a purse-type handle, I punched a small hole in the flap and added a small loop.

I also added two magnets as a closure.  Easy and fun!

Great First Week

(Notice my “to-do” list taped to the door behind Erica’s head.  Back-to-school for them, back to mommyhood for me!)  Except for the fact that Adrienne came down with the flu and missed the second and third days of school this week (and passed the flu bug on to me,) we had a great first week of school!  I’m so thankful that Erica made a seamless transition into high school.

It is the beginning of the end for Adrienne!  Here is a photo of her last first day of school and Erica’s first day of high school.  When I can bring myself to do it, I’ll pull out a photo of their first days of school.  It’s too depressing to do it now!

I’ve been praying all day and night that they will be safe.  Adrienne is driving to school this year.  The positives of having her drive far outweigh the positives of having them ride the bus.  Here’s to a great first week and a great year!

You can make an unlimited variety of these cute gift bags using any 8 1/2″ x 11″ piece of cardstock.  I like using my embellishment scraps to decorate the bags.  The possibilities are endless!  These bags are the perfect size for gift cards or jewelry…remember, good things come in small packages.

SUPPLIES:

8 1/2″ x 11″ cardstock; one sheet of cardstock per bag

lettin’ it all hang out…

It’s too difficult to maintain a private blog.  Not only does it keep the world out, it keeps me out, too.  It is a pain in the neck to have to log in every time.  I’m not that important.  I don’t really think the world cares enough to stalk me, so I’m gonna let it all hang out.  I did, however, remove the post of my little G and the photos of Neil breaking into the house.

Tomorrow will be Adrienne’s last first day of school.  (Can you say “Gilmore Girls?”)  It’s also Erica’s first day of high school.  I’m so glad I have my little G at times like these!  I can re-live their babyhoods through him.

privacy has its benefits, but it’s a pain.  for those of you who have private blogs, do you have to sign in every time?  i am finding that i don’t even read my own blog anymore because it is too much of a pain to have to log in every time.  blah.  not worth it!
