I am guilty! The past three or four Christmases I didn’t make our cards…I used an online digital service and had photo cards printed. Yikes!

I figured I better get back on the ball and start making our cards again. I mean, it wouldn’t be right for me to keep asking you to visit and shop at http://www.ewillow.com/ and then send out cards that aren’t handmade, would it?

…as I try to take in the spirit of the holiday, I can’t help but let my mind wonder to my next project!

Here’s a little something to hold you over for the next few days until I complete some more projects.  I really went overboard with the Shimmer Paint on this decorative clipboard display, but I just couldn’t resist!  Just look at those glitzy love birds giving each other a cute little love peck!

I used an inexpensive clipboard, covered it with Designer Series Paper and lots of ribbon, and adhered lots of chipboard hearts.  The hearts are also painted with gold Shimmer Paint.  I love, love, love Shimmer Paint.  It dries so quickly on chipboard.  I used rhinestone brads for the birds’ eyes.

I like the colors in this Valentine’s Day decoration.  It emotes love, but without the typical red, white and pink.  Enjoy!
