Miles of Smiles!

Let’s hope!

Adrienne decided that for her upcoming 16th birthday, instead of a party and instead of going to the “NJ House,” she wanted to see New Orleans. So we will soon head on a road trip with planned stops in:

1) Gainesville to see UF (gotta get all those college tours in, ya know!) and to show the girls the house we lived in for a month as newlyweds (Neil worked in Gainesville for a short time)

2) Pensacola Beach (never been there)

3) Foley, AL where my dad lived for awhile when he was a child

4) New Orleans (final destination)

We were hoping that maybe we could continue on to Houston to visit Sharon and Jeddy-Pooh, or maybe have them meet us in New Orleans, but maybe next time!

Any recommendations of things, places, food, stuff to see, do, eat along the way or in New Orleans????

One thing is for sure…if the Targets are good along the way, this is a trip we might repeat in the future! (Hey, it’s almost my birthday, too, and I have always wanted to take a road trip and stop at all the Target stores along the way.)

On another note, I dug up this little book by American Girl while I was doing some cleaning. The games are adorable and appropriate for any age and for boys or girls.

Don’t forget to leave suggestions!!

I have never been to New Orleans but I have been on my share of road trips. I think they are great as long as Jon drives the whole time. One day I want to take a trip where there is no time schedule and we can stop and see everything that looks interesting to us. For example, I am going to see the World’s Largest Prarie dog in Kansas someday if it kills me!

Love the idea of traveling from Target to Target. I have thought about something like this and taking photos at each store with the address or store number in the photo.
    So many possibilites.
We, to are planning a long road trip for the summer. When my ideas get flowing, I will post them!
